January has been a busy month for our Trust Manager, doing lots of charity and church visits across West and North Yorkshire for the March meeting. This work is a very important part of the Sir George Martin Trust’s ethos and assessment strategy, which gives our charitable trust a better understanding of what’s happening on the front-line.

As always, they’ve been a varied, inspirational bunch of applicants, but what has struck us most at the beginning of this next decade, is the level of hard work and dedication which all the staff and volunteers show. So many wonderful people in our region are doing everything they can to help those in need who may be struggling with life and need someone or somewhere to turn to and help them get a smile on their face. We hope that the 2020s aren’t as financially challenging as the 2010s were, and that those charities and church outreach programmes which have survived, manage to flourish through their dogged determination.
