A fantastic day at Leeds City College, meeting the 2026 winners of our Sir George Martin Trust and Leeds City College Access to Science Profession Awards. Our founder, Sir George was very passionate about the healthcare profession and in 2022 our long-serving trustee, Janet Martin came up with the idea of recognising and celebrating six of the most committed and hardworking Access to Science Professions students. Each year the College tutors select six winners who take home a £600 cash prize from the Trust to say well done for achieving excellent academic results (often as well as working full time and looking after their family) and going onto study at university.
